Our Story
I'm Nick. I've been cooking barbecue for about nine years. My dad cooked pulled pork and briskets throughout my childhood. I come from a family with great food traditions, and I've always loved feeding people.
Over the past several years, I have taken the study of barbecue very seriously, made pilgrimages to some of the best barbecue spots in the country and spent time at these spots tasting their food and learning from renowned pitmasters.
Anyone who is a barbecue nut like me has had that mind-blowing bite that set them off on their journey. Our goal is to do our best to make every bite mind-blowing.
So who is Charley?
OK Charley's is named after our Siberian Husky, Charley. He, along with his sister Bean (also a husky), keep us busy vacuuming. They bring life and cheer to the house. Anyone who's ever spent time around a husky knows they keep things interesting.
